# Type T Thermocouple Wire — Copper / Constantan

## Alloy composition

- **Positive leg:** Copper (Cu 99.9%)
- **Negative leg:** Constantan (CuNi 55/45)
- **EMF tolerance:** ±0.5°C (−40–125°C) / ±0.4% (125–350°C)

## Advantage

Best accuracy in sub-zero range (±0.5°C). Excellent corrosion resistance. Preferred for cryogenic and pharmaceutical applications.

## Limitation

Copper leg oxidises above 350°C. Limited upper temperature range.
